Description
Social Work p.r.n. has an immediate Monday-Friday, full-time, temp-to-perm position for a LSCSW to serve as a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) for an integrated health clinic. The BHC will work with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of primary care patients who may suffer from medical conditions and co-occurring mental health conditions. The BHC will provide mental health consultation, assessments, psychoeducation, crisis intervention and brief interventions.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following :
- Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of the behavioral health condition and co-existing medical illness.
- Assist primary care team with developing a treatment plan and brief interventions for co-occurring conditions.
- Evaluate crisis situations and appropriate interventions.
- Assist in the detection of at risk patients and develop plans of care to prevent further deterioration.
- Provide education to patients, family, and staff on prevention and treatment techniques to improve self-care.
- Commitment to expand access to care for underserved populations.
- Other duties as designated.
Position Requirements
Candidates must have a masters degree from an accredited school of social work and licensure through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LSCSW. It is highly preferred for candidates to have a minimum of two years' experience providing clinical services including diagnosis, treatment planning and therapy services.
