Description
Full-time position providing programs and services for older adults, 60 in eastern Queens (just west of Long Island). Will meet with potential new members to explain services and recommend programming, register new clients and complete follow up assessments, create and facilitate support groups, conduct and document follow ups, assist with the lunch program and participate in program development.
Great opportunity for a social worker with interest in working with the older population and in getting their LCSW, as clinical supervision will be provided.
The social worker will be stationed at a community service center but will provide : 1-2 friendly visitor home visits / month, a support group at an Assisted Living Facility nearby, and will eventually spend one work day at a newly developed program off-site.

Annual Salary Range : $60,000-$67,500.
Position Requirements
Requires LMSW, or MSW obtained within the last year (required to obtain LMSW) and experience working with the geriatric population. Must have a car for transportation.
