Socialite Media is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Downtown Chicago, specializing in elevated social strategy, influencer marketing, and content creation for premium lifestyle, hospitality, and beauty brands. With a growing team and 40 active clients, we’re known for our aesthetic-driven campaigns, fast-paced culture, and exceptional client experience.
The Role
We’re looking for a Director of Operations to join our leadership team and help run the day-to-day engine of the agency. This role will work directly with the CEO & Founder to ensure our team, clients, and creative processes operate efficiently and at a high standard.
The Director of Operations will lead internal systems, support team managers, optimize workflows, and ensure our client delivery stays consistent and exceptional. You’ll also help mentor newer managers, support team accountability, and oversee the rollout of internal processes that keep everything moving.
This role is perfect for someone who is energized by structure, loves bringing clarity to creative environments, and thrives in leadership.
Team Oversight & Leadership
- Guide and support department leads and junior managers
- Conduct weekly check-ins and ensure clear priorities across teams
- Maintain visibility into team bandwidth, project flow, and resourcing
- Foster a collaborative, empowered, and organized agency culture
Client Success & Delivery
- Oversee agency-wide client experience and ensure deliverables are met with quality and consistency
- Step into client conversations (when needed) to troubleshoot or add executive-level support
- Help managers improve client communication, boundaries, and leadership
Operational Systems
- Audit and streamline agency tools, workflows, and documentation
- Implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to reduce bottlenecks and increase efficiency
- Help manage project management tools like Asana, Google Drive, Sprout Social, etc.
- Coordinate with our contracted HR specialist for onboarding, scheduling, and team processes
Agency Performance & Strategy
- Collaborate with the CEO on business strategy, growth goals, and forecasting
- Track KPIs across client services, content creation, and account management
- Drive monthly reporting, team accountability, and internal alignment
- 3–6 years of experience in agency operations, client services, or team management
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional projects
- Passion for creating structure in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Confident communicator who is calm under pressure
- Familiar with agency systems like Slack, Asana, GSuite, Sprout, etc.
- Based in Chicago with the ability to work in-person at our River North HQ
