Founding Product Manager (SaaS) 

Socialode Inc. is a SaaS startup creating a new type of global friendship network, avoiding the toxic pitfalls of the current state of social media by redefining it from the ground up. With a privacy-first ethos and unique approach to making compelling connections, Socialode helps build and foster real, organic friendships.

Social media culture often exacerbates loneliness and mental health issues by creating a facade of broken privacy connections, leaving users feeling more isolated and disconnected from real, meaningful relationships.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and resourceful Founding Product Manager to join our early-stage SaaS startup. This role will report directly to and work closely with the hands-on, product-oriented, founder CTO. This is a unique opportunity to shape our process and drive the product vision while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

While we raise seed capital, we're seeking someone who can contribute 20 hours per week to help build a solid foundation for our product in exchange for equity. We expect to transition this role into a full time, salaried opportunity as funds become available. What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the founding team to define the product roadmap and align it with business objectives.
• Break down high-level goals into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery.
• Work across functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to distribute tasks and ensure alignment.
• Use tools like Jira and Confluence to track progress, document decisions, and implement automation.
• Facilitate team collaboration with design tools like Figma to ensure the delivery of user-centric solutions.
• Communicate product updates, timelines, and challenges effectively to stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze user feedback to iterate on the product and improve user experience.
• Identify and mitigate risks while managing trade-offs between scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding additional engineering and product resources.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of product and project management experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools to collaborate with designers.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Experience orchestrating multidisciplinary teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.).
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Technical aptitude to understand software development processes and communicate effectively with engineers.

Bonus: Experience working in startups or early-stage environments.
