What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brewer 1 position at Societe Brewing?

Summary
The Brewer I position is responsible for cellar duties and coordinating with the brewhouse throughout the day. Duties include:
- Cellar work and tank additions (dry hopping, fining, temperature changes)
- Tank CIP/Prepping
- Yeast cell counts and harvesting
- Beer transfer/centrifuge operation
- Coordinate with brewhouse for tank prepping/yeast harvesting and pitching
- Aid with packaging/kegging/keg washing as needed

- Must be a team player
- Previous experience in a production brewery is strongly preferred
- Brewing education is strongly preferred or a degree in a related field
- Passionate about brewing beer in a safe environment
- Must have a calm temperament in a fast paced production environment, and willing to change and evolve through growth
- Experience running a centrifuge preferred
- Willing to creatively problem solve as issues arise
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma , and more than a year of experience in the industry with a related degree in brewing science preferred
NECESSARY LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:.) A degree in brewing, or related science, other certifications issued via organizations such as IBD, and Siebel are a plus
CHARACTER AND REFERENCES: You must be able to work well with others, and be respectful of your fellow employees at all times. Three past work experience references are required.
