Summary
The Keg Washer is responsible for maintaining clean keg supply for use in production with use of our Premier Stainless Keg Washer. Proper PPE must be worn during the process and throughout the production areas in the facility. Proper titration of the keg detergent reservoir must be completed prior to processing of keg washing. Kegs will be connected to the process hoses with the use of a beer coupler, lifted onto the cleaning platform using proper lifting technique followed by an automated cleaning cycle. An EOD report will be provided covering the days keg production and any mechanical / maintenance issues that may have arisen during the shift.

- Drive the Forklift safely with pallets of kegs
- Current, valid driver’s license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles
- Intimate knowledge of craft beer, beer styles, flavors and aromas, as well as the desire to learn more and become familiar with Societe Brewing Company’s production process, and beer portfolio
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as identification, receipts and instructional materials is required, as is the ability to effectively communicate with customers or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations is required. Problem-solving within the parameters of one’s scope of responsibilities for this position is required.

The employee must regularly lift and/or push or pull up 50L kegs (weighing 140 pounds each), though adequate tools and assistance will be provided, when possible, to ease this process. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to Hazardous chemicals, and water temperatures of 200 degrees. Employee will be required to go into the cold box—which is kept at 40 degrees Fahrenheit—for periods of up to 30 minutes at a time. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work ranges from moderate to very loud.
