About the Role : We are seeking a Signage and Wayfinding Senior Graphic Designer to join our team, focusing exclusively on projects for a large metropolitan international airport. This role is a unique opportunity for a signage expert to apply their skills in planning, programing, implementing signage and wayfinding systems, ensuring proper adherence and application of established sign standards. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistent and accurate application of the airport’s signage standards across a variety of projects.As part of the Jones Worley Experiential Graphic Design team, your design skills will be vital in elevating all our projects to the highest levels of creativity.Key Responsibilities :

  • Familiarize yourself with the airport’s design standards, historical projects, and their applications.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all signage standards and wayfinding systems specific to the assigned airport.
  • Provide guidance to clients on the proper use of signage standards for various airport projects.
  • Develop detailed validation reports, schematic designs, and construction level signage packages for projects, including layouts, materials, and specifications, following airport standards.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all deliverables.
  • Ongoing collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to certify all signage needs are being met in all aspects of the project.
  • Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure installation of signage follows construction phasing timeline and provides seamless wayfinding at all stages of the project.
  • Full knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) to create, update, and review signage documentation and visual assets.
  • Review and quality-check signage designs to ensure compliance with the airport’s standards.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and innovations in signage and wayfinding systems.
  • Support project management efforts by providing timely feedback and status updates.
  • Provide construction administration, monitoring all phases of production and installation for quality.
  • Participate in design charettes, assist in developing signage concepts for a variety of projects.Preferred Qualifications :
  • Proven experience in signage and wayfinding design, with a strong emphasis on complex wayfinding programming and adhering to strict standards.
  • Familiarity with airport environments and their unique requirements is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is required.
  • Experience with Sign Agent software / tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present and explain design solutions to clients.
