MD or DO credentials from an accredited school of medicine, Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and eligibility for licensure in Georgia is required. Qualified candidates must possess academic accomplishments that merit appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher at Emory. An advanced degree is a plus.
Job Description:
The Division Chief of Anesthesia at Children's and Emory offers an exciting opportunity to lead pediatric anesthesiology for one of the largest children's healthcare systems in the U.S. They will serve as the primary physician leader for Anesthesiology and Pain Management for Children’s, including the brand-new Arthur M. Blank Hospital. The Chief will lead a team of 65 physicians, 100 anesthetists, and 25 nurse practitioners to oversee two hospitals, two ambulatory surgery centers, and over 44,000 surgical cases across the system. This physician leader will serve as the Division Chief for Pediatric Anesthesiology for the Department of Anesthesiology at Emory School of Medicine. They will lead program development, faculty and workforce recruitment and retention, growth of innovation and educational excellence of two fellowship programs within the Division. The Chief will provide leadership and oversight for quality, safety, and clinical operations, guiding the design of care delivery and advancing care consistency with a culture of excellence across Children's.
