Primary purpose: Produces and delivers online educational content developed by SCCM content experts (faculty). Works closely with various staff to deliver and improve online learning products through SCCM’s learning management system. Schedules and produces educational webcasts and podcasts. Ensures that educational content hosted in SCCM’s learning management system (LMS), as appropriate, is added to SCCM’s online product listing.
Responsibilities:
I. Produces and delivers online learning resources
- Works with educational content experts to produce interactive online learning activities and implement activities in SCCM’s LMS, ensuring that activities meet SCCM standards, including editorial and functionality requirements.
- Recommends best practices related to adult online learning.
- Coordinates across departments and with vendors to adhere to production schedules and timelines.
- Provides online product testing cycles.
- Ensures that online activities comply with continuing education and accredited continuing education certification and reporting requirement standards.
- Monitors and evaluates the usage and effectiveness of online offerings.
- Serves as a tier of support to troubleshoot customer issues.
- Coordinates with IT staff to produce reports for online learning products.
- Investigates solutions and options to expand online capabilities.
- Collaborates with marketing department to release and post webcasts and podcasts.
- Assists in the production processes for various web-based educational materials, including On Demand products, videos, hybrid educational events, webcasts and podcasts.
II. Coordinates Webcast/Podcast Production
- Works collaboratively across departments and with faculty on webcast/podcast production
- Coordinates faculty management (invitations, conflict-of-interest compliance, etc.)
- Manages production services with podcast/webcast vendor, scheduling practice sessions, and monitoring live events.
- Generates and distributes reports from SCCM’s LMS as requested.
- Works collaboratively with the LearnICU Manager to create new products they have curated using content from the SCCM Resource Library.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Science, Instructional Design, or related .field preferred
- Experience using instructional technology, including learning management systems, video conferencing software, collaborative workspaces, presentation software, authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate, etc.), Web 2.0 tools, and video editing software
- Up to date and practical knowledge of adult learning principles and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) concepts, including Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) and rapid methodologies like Successive Approximation Model (SAM)
- Ability to create and facilitate online learning that guides learners toward achieving the desired learning outcomes
- Process-oriented and able to troubleshoot difficult issues
- Project and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects within a changing environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and computer graphics programs
- Limited travel required.
