Straight Arrow News is looking for an experienced evening digital news producer to join our team. The ideal candidate must be passionate about unbiased news and reporting that focuses on the facts rather than the spin. This individual will be a dynamic and compelling journalist who understands the complex issues of the day. This person must be able to pass an AP Style writing test.
Responsibilities :
- Research, write, and produce daily news stories on deadline.
- Review all scripts and segments prior to taping to ensure accuracy and balance.
- Fact check all copy and submissions from production staff to ensure accuracy.
- Work with the company’s senior staff to identify future newsworthy stories & events.
- Write compelling, accurate and SEO friendly copy to accompany all video content.
