Position: Cashier/Store Associate

Reports To: Site Manager

Join SVdP as our Cold Spring store celebrates it's 2nd anniversary. Reporting to our Site Manager and being a part of our Merchandising team, you are an important part of our organization to insure our customers are served cheerfully. You play an important role in serving our customers, which raises funds to help those in need. Your assistance insures our customers come back to our stores. Additionally, you are the face of SVdP for those who choose to come and shop at our stores.

JOB DUTIES:

• Greet customers on their arrival, conducts cash and credit transactions accurately and thanks them on their departure.
• Sorts merchandise received and discards any merchandise that can not be sold.
• Takes merchandise ready for sale and places it in its proper location on the sales floor.
• Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment for co-workers and our customers.
• Assists Retail Store manager as directed in creating attractive floor displays.
• Accurately ring up all customer purchases and make sure the money collected is correct.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to greet customers on the sales floor and create a welcoming impression on them.
• Able to quickly inspect donated merchandise and sort into saleable and discard conditions.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Able to work on feet for the bulk of their assigned shift.
• Able to understand and fully comply with all company safety directives.
• Able to correctly handle sales transactions.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to assist at other SVdP stores as needed.

• 8AM
