SUMMARY : The Data Quality Specialist II is responsible for coordinating all aspects of (Quality Assurance) data completeness, data integrity, reporting, user training, and ensuring the ongoing compliance with the Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) Data and Technical Standards, and all federal, state, and local laws.

- Understand outcomes required for all SVDP CARES programs.
- Review and track data elements for temporary financial assistance under client programs.
- Complete data entry, data correction and support for electronic systems managed by SVdP CARES.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure staff are using current documentation required by governing agencies.
- Perform Information Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
- Ensure agency Data Quality program procedures are adhered to.
- Assist Team with Data Systems training programs.
- Process Data Systems Tier I & II Help Desk tickets as prioritized by the department lead.
- Assist Program Managers / staff with data systems issues and schedule follow-up training as required.
- Report agency data policy discrepancies to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform data corrections and ensure staff correct errors in a timely manner.
- Attend required meetings set by SVdP CARES, funders and data governance committees.
- Assist in the development / review of policies and procedures for general operations of the Data Compliance Program.
- Work collaboratively with all HMIS staff to ensure completion of all annual projects including the adherence to all established timelines and contract objectives.
- Work collaboratively with all HMIS staff to ensure relevant and appropriate reporting compliance with all federal, state, and local contracts.
- Perform Information Quality Assurance responsibilities in accordance with Data Compliance program initiatives.
- Provide technical support and resolution of data compliance issues as needed.
- Compile statistical data for reports as required.
- Participate with HMIS activities on a local, statewide, regional and national level.
- Adhere to current HMIS Data and Technical Standards and the HMIS Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve high quality standards-based service, departmental and company goals.
- Follow all organization's policies, practices, and procedures.

GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS : These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to perform the essential functions of the job successfully. Working in an office / site requires prolonged sitting at the computer workstation; standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 40lbs. and some driving. It is also required to regularly sit, speak, and listen, the employee is also required to walk, use hands and fingers to type, operate equipment, and maintain records and notes. WORK ENVIRONMENT : Environment will occasionally become noisy due to equipment operations and interactions among clients and staff. There may be the possibility of being exposed to communicable disease, possible exposure to verbal abuse or similar behavior from residents / clients. On an as needed basis, employees may be called upon to work outside of the established work schedule or work odd hours. All information associated with the Agency is confidential.
