e-COMMERCE MANAGER

OVERVIEW

The e-Commerce Manager is responsible for revamping and expanding SVdP's online presence by selling items from warehouse inventory and stores, primarily through eBay and other relevant platforms. This role focuses on generating revenue, optimizing operations, and implementing innovative strategies to attract online shoppers across all generations. The manager will play a key role in creating a strong digital footprint for the organization, leveraging sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and technology to drive online growth. Additionally, this position will lead a team, collaborate with store leadership, and ensure a seamless and engaging online shopping experience.

This position will have a performance-based bonus structure tied to achieving target revenue goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Project Management Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business plans and new strategies to grow e-commerce sales.
  • Maintain monthly revenue goals
  • Report to leadership on department activities, sales trends and milestones
  • Lead and manage staff, ensuring high productivity and efficiency
  • Drive all productivity metrics and online sales
  • Keep operation lean and operating at maximum efficiency
  • Work in partnership with store teams to train and develop e-commerce and store staff on key product categories to drive e-Commerce revenue.
  • Ensure loss prevention is maximized
  • Discover new and manage current vendor relationships
  • Deliver a superior brand and shopping experience online by leveraging sales, marketing, technology, strategic insights and leadership skills
  • Implement e-Commerce best practices
Production Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy for online listings.
  • Establish and track productivity goals while maintaining listing quality.
  • Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring efficiency in processing and shipping
  • Track production output and production levels
  • Stay updated on industry trends and platform policies (e.g., eBay seller policies, pricing strategies).
  • Guide team members on proper listing procedures, pricing, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure proper handling, photography, and descriptions of listed items to maximize sales.
  • Adherence to all SVdP Policies & Conflict of Interest

Marketing and Sales Responsibilities:
  • Work with Stores leadership and Marketing team to develop marketing initiatives to increase sales
  • Maintain online brand image and user experience
  • Identify new revenue opportunities
  • Establish key department footprints within stores to drive sales
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay informed on e-commerce best practices and industry trends to improve operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Share expertise and provide training to the team on e-commerce strategies.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent
  • Five (5) or more years of established eBay or equivalent online selling platform experience
  • Practical hands-on experience in digital marketing, SEO for e-commerce, and online merchandising.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed

  • Knowledge of:
    • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Second-hand retail and quality brands (Intermediate level)
    • Mathematics and reading comprehension (Intermediate level)
    • Material handling (Basic level)
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Communicate well, orally and in writing
    • Organization and prioritization
    • Operational excellence
    • Routine problem solving
    • Customer service and conflict resolution
    • Develop, execute and manage projects
    • Background in photography and product description writing for online sales.

  • Physical:
    • Frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds
