Job Summary :

A private estate on the North Shore of Long Island seeks a professional and highly skilled  Private Chef  to join the household staff full-time. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and accommodating the dietary needs of a multi-generational family. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with two consecutive days off per week and additional time allocated for shopping and menu planning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in private service and a strong understanding of the high standards expected in a luxury household.

R esponsibilities :

• Plan, prepare, and serve lunch and dinner for the family, as well as lunch for household staff.
• Ensure the home is consistently stocked with staple snacks and meals that align with the family's preferences.
• Coordinate and execute food service for special events, from intimate dinners to mid-sized gatherings.
• Develop and present weekly menus tailored to dietary preferences and restrictions, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
• Maintain a record of preferred recipes and favorite dishes for future reference.
• Innovate and expand the culinary repertoire by experimenting with new recipes and techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other household staff as part of a cohesive team.
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen management, including cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
