What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Coordinator-Missouri position at Socket Telecom, LLC?
The persons in this position will oversee, assist, and ensure that regulatory needs are adhered too while ensuring that projects stay within their designated budget and deadline. The position will include overseeing the technical aspects such as collaborating and coordinating with external and internal team members, contractors, vendors, and government agencies. The persons in this position will report directly to the Outside Plant Supervisor and ensure alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure construction projects meet strict deadlines, stay within budget, and complies with regulatory and quality control requirements.
Collaborate, communicate and manage project expectations with colleagues and external stakeholders from beginning to end, including goals, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and compliance requirements.
Manage multiple stakeholders: contractors, subcontractors, subrecipients, state, federal, and local government agencies.
Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to and with stakeholders and company leadership.
Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and present recommendations to leadership.
Oversee contractors and consultants engaged for outside plant fiber deployment.
Proactively oversee activities when subrecipients, contractors and consultants interact with government agencies.- Oversee technical issues, including optical loss budgets, power systems, buried and aerial fiber construction, fiber optic splicing procedures, optical patch panel and cross-connections.
Ensure property and equipment compliance requirements are upheld.
Utilize Project Management Software tools to ensure best practices for quality and efficiency throughout the project life cycle.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, network design, or business management is preferred, but not required. Project Management Experience of 3 years or comparable experience.
