We’re looking for a personable, motivated Community Marketing & Networking Coordinator to help grow SOCO’s presence across the southern region—connecting with communities, supporting events, and amplifying our impact.
Role Overview
As the Community Marketing & Networking Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in driving local engagement and expanding our regional footprint. This position focuses on building relationships, coordinating marketing efforts, planning events, and collecting content to showcase SOCO’s work. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager and local teams to keep SOCO top-of-mind in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead local marketing initiatives by distributing promotional materials and supporting brand visibility efforts across the region.
- Gather project highlights, testimonials, customer stories, and photo content from events and field staff for use in social media and marketing campaigns.
- Plan and support community events including sponsorships, appreciation gatherings, and outreach activities.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and community leaders to grow SOCO’s network.
- Represent SOCO at community events, networking functions, and industry-related meetups—occasionally traveling to other areas to support teammates.
- Keep regional staff equipped and informed with current marketing materials and campaign updates.
- Collaborate with sales, installation, and internal teams to ensure unified messaging and effective outreach.
Qualifications
- Background in marketing, community outreach, networking, or event coordination preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Creative, self-driven, and comfortable suggesting new strategies or ideas.
- Familiar with basic digital tools and social media platforms (no design or content creation required).
- College education or coursework is helpful, but not required.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with the assigned region and existing local relationships (Grand Junction to Alamosa).
- Enthusiasm for clean energy, sustainability, and community involvement.
- Ability to travel independently within the region as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
