Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transporter to join our team. As a Transporter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients within our Assisted Living Facility. Your primary responsibility will be to transport patients to and from various departments, providing them with exceptional care and support throughout their journey.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm and or various times
Duties:
- Safely transport patients to and from doctor appointments
- Assist patients in getting in and out of transport vehicle to appointments
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during transportation by utilizing proper lifting techniques and securing equipment
- Communicate effectively with medical staff to coordinate patient transfers and provide necessary information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment, including wheelchairs and other mobility aids
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary environment during patient transport
- Provide basic life support measures as needed, including CPR and first aid
Skills:
- Previous experience working in healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull heavy objects or patients as required
