The position of USA Plant Manager is mainly aimed at managing the factory needs from D2D needs to operation, delivery and more. As USA Plant Manageryou will lead the site together with your team to great success. The focus of the USA Plant Manager is - Organizing operational activities and personnel, creating and carrying out all-operation needs on the production floor, maximization of capacity with high efficiency. While supporting growth with a focus on all factory needs.
Provide leadership in USA site, responsibility to ensure a highly motivated, well-trained ad self-managed leadership team.
Mentor, coach and develop management team in USA site.
Accountable for safety, Quality, Health, Environmental policies. ensure that the management team leads the sites according to SodaStream Global guidelines.
Contribute to strategy formation and translate it into plans and (yearly) objectives.
Set clear directions to the USA site operation by Ensure the delivery of the Co2 business according to plans, KPI’s, values and people processes are delivered and embedded.
Overseeing the day-to-day operation, ensuring optimum efficiency in operational management – by providing and following management routines.
Drive productivity and support continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and encourage team members to identify, present and lead process improvement projects.
Budgetary responsibility and accountability for all areas managed. Routinely monitor and make cost management decisions for manufacturing operations including establishing cost reduction objectives quarterly and annually.
Accountability for All USA site projects within operation ensuring that projects are lead in to “End state” results.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Safety:
Education: University/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred, preferably in the field of technique or operations.
Skills: A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar Manufacturing environment is required. Experience with leadership, production planning and control is required. Experience in working with MS Office is required. Experience with industrial hygiene food production is desirable.
Language: Excellent level of English language is required.Experience in Spanish language is preferred.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Safety:
- Is responsible for creating a safe working space for all employees, in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Be familiar with regulatory requirements for safe work and equipment operation.
- Provide safety briefings to external contractors.
- Oversees execution of any safety related measures. Reports on issues to the Safety department and/or management.
- Recognizes and anticipates safety risks and takes appropriate action where needed in a timely manner.
- Works on Safety guidelines for operations and equipment with Safety manager & with relevant HQ managers\Eng.
- Accountable for managing the production HC.
- Directly responsible for managing the USA Site
- Build strong leadership with the current production managers to support the growth and to create a positive team attitude.
- Is the first contact person for subordinate employees regarding HR related topics. When needed, support is offered by the HR USA.
- Is responsible for correct handling of HR processes for subordinate employees. This includes HR processes regarding absenteeism, vacation, performance management, training and development, recruitment, etc. When needed, support is offered by the HR USA.
- Is responsible that subordinate employees are instructed and trained where needed. Ensures correct corresponding documentation.
- Accountable for the performance of the production departments, KPI, meeting goals, financial costs, and product quality.
- Accountable for receiving new equipment and bringing it into production while maximally managing the capabilities of the machines, training the workers, and finding solutions together with the maintenance team to manage the maintenance routines Creates analytical reports relevant to maintenance.
- Maintains clear communication with Management, Engineering HQ, Process responsible HQ person.
- Making sure the (production) equipment is safe to operate.
- Responsible for technical availability KPIs of all production resources.
- Organizes business needs based on priority.
- Creating work plan based on strategical plans and SC directions.
- Works with available systems to create this and is responsible for upholding this.
- Responsible for building strategic plans for the benefit of managing the department's production capabilities.
- Communicates with department leaders planning for maintenance and sets up frequent meetings.
- Responsible for setting directions for the maintenance of the machines at a high level and with an organized plan for the benefit of preventive maintenance and management of the availability of the machines
- Responsible for the quality of the products that come out of the factory best quality both in terms of product quality and in terms of customer safety.
- Oversee execution of any quality related measures developed by the quality department. Lead the learning with Dept managers to find RC.
- Monitors qualitative parameters in accordance with quality instructions. The implementation of the requirements generally aims to achieve an economically optimal level of quality of our products. The creation or modification of instructions is done by the QESH department and/or Management.
- Executes random checks and documents this for quality purposes.
- Accountable for development or up-to-date procedures and work instructions to cover the common business processes.
- Independently implements process changes in collaboration with the responsible stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Ensure that all responsible departments and all necessary stakeholders are informed.
- Keeps record on all relevant KPI’s as agreed with local and global management.
- Will provide all relevant information in frequent management meetings.
- Is responsible for the Budget of USA factory working closely with Finance department.
- Strong leadership skills that come with high motivation.
- Has regular contact with leaders of other departments for relevant topics that are crossing departmental borders.
- Is contact for authorities after normal working hours on the production Plant.
- Ensure cleanliness and order in the entire warehouse/production area.
- Is willing to do all tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor/manager to contribute to the success of SodaStream.
- Follows all safety and quality instructions and contributes to develop and improve the safety and quality standards in SodaStream.
