What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Brewer position at SoDel Concepts?
As an employee in the brewery you will report directly to the Head Brewer
Responsibilities include:
Checking on fermenting beer, including checking gravity, pH, and fermentation temperature.
Cellar duties such as dry-hopping, yeast harvesting, beer transfers, and cleaning in place
Packaging duties including keg washing & filling, canning
Training on our BrauKon Brewhouse
Keeping accurate records
Sensory evaluation of beer throughout the brewing process
Keeping the Brewery area clean with daily housekeeping tasks
Assisting at beer festivals and other events
Assist the other Brewers and Brewmaster in any way as needed
Must love craft beer!
Willingness to learn a basic understanding of brewing and fermentation processes and science
Willingness to learn wort and beer production
Ability to follow strict Quality Control parameters and Standard Operating Procedures
Ability to work independently and according to instruction
Ability to learn both on the job and study independently
Willingness to grow with our expanding operations
Ability to lift 55lbs and maneuver up to 175lbs.
Work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to get to work on time all the time
