What You Bring:
Develop an annual Residence Life Plan that identifies education themes and timelines, set direct monthly goals for the Community Ambassadors, and which coordinates with campus partners
Liaise daily with GM or direct report, bringing forward any student or Community Ambassador issues or concerns
Manage the recruitment and selection process for the Community Ambassador team
Create annual plans for identifying, advertising, selecting, and hiring new Community Ambassadors
Plan, schedule, and execute training opportunities for the Community Ambassador team including: annual campus August pre-service training week, monthly in-service training sessions; other reactive training as necessary. Training will focus on developing the Community Ambassadors’ skills to deal with the issues they will face in their position. Training could include one dedicated week, prior to student move-in, and several additional sessions per semester
Act as a resource for Community Ambassadors, front desk staff members and all student residents as they deal with issues related to residence and college life
Work collaboratively with campus and community partners while participating on committees and working groups throughout the year. Key campus partners include; Athletics, the Student Association, Student Success Facilitators, Student Services, Health, Counselling and Accessibility Services
Assist in creation of annual college budget by identifying and costing residence life activities in collaboration with residence life team and the G
