Sodexo is seeking an Area General Manager for our portfolio of Corporate Services Food accounts in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Area General Manager will support our food service operations including retail cafés, internal catering services, and food production. This hands-on position requires an individual with exceptional drive, initiative, creativity, and excellent client communication skills. This manager will oversee a team of managers and about 30-40 hourly Sodexo staff, and the work schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends required.
This new position will be overseeing premiere food service accounts in the region; this role is highly visible and critical to the success of the unit. The successful candidate will :
- have oversight of daily food operations in multiple units and ensure we deliver a high-quality product;
- achieve company and client financial targets and goals to include oversight of cash-handling and the POS systems;
- develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
- motivate, coach, mentor, and develop frontline (hourly) and management staff;
- ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs.
