Location : We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resource s for the Las Vegas Convention Center and the World Market Center.
The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the largest and most renowned convention and exhibition venues in the world, located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Spanning over 3.2 million square feet , it is a premier destination for a wide range of events, including international trade shows, conventions, corporate meetings, and entertainment events.
World Market Center Las Vegas is a premier wholesale showroom complex and trade event venue located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada. It serves as a global hub for the furniture, home décor, and gift industries, hosting key trade shows and offering a dynamic space for manufacturers, buyers, and designers to connect, showcase new products, and engage in business opportunities
Principal Function :
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compliance, and performance management. The Director of Human Resources will ensure a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and aligns with the convention center's goals.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the convention center's mission and objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership team to support with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the convention center.
- Lead the recruitment process to attract top talent for various roles.
- Develop and maintain an efficient onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that encourages open communication and collaboration.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts while maintaining confidentiality.
- Identify leadership potential and develop succession plans for key positions.
- Oversee the performance appraisal process and ensure that feedback is constructive and actionable.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity.
