Location: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager for T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners!
Since the Inaugural Game on July 15, 1999, T-Mobile Park has gained a reputation locally, regionally and nationally as a terrific setting for baseball and a great place for baseball fans. Principal Function:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager serves as a health and safety subject matter expert within their assigned venue, which is typically a major professional sporting arena/stadium. They are responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety and Training programs and policies.
The EHS Manager will lead behavior-based safety initiatives and will provide expertise regarding state and federal regulations and best practices. They will regularly interact with employees throughout the venue, provide leadership to all departments, engage in root cause analysis, coordinate safety training efforts, and will develop proactive approaches to safety to maintain a positive safety record and to achieve unit and company goals and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through implementation and oversight of EHS initiatives, systems and policies related to assigned venue operations.
- Audit, track, train and measure performance to ensure that all EHS standards for health, safety and sanitation are maintained.
- Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to teamwork and internal/external customer service.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BS degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management or closely related field, or appropriate combination of education and work experience to support on the job effectiveness.
- 5 or more years' experience in EHS management within a large scale operation, with a proven track record of success in reducing occupational injuries and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations.
- Health Department certification and/or registered sanitarian with background in food safety.
- Certification in industry standards such as OSHA and EPA, DEC desired
- Solid experience with permit administration and management.
- Instructional design experience for preparing and delivering EHS training
- Background and expertise in risk management, safety administration, EHS recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance. Flexibility, ability to work extended or irregular hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Experience with incident investigation, including Root Cause Analysis.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Ability to communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Proven ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
- Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
- Self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks/projects simultaneously, and who can contribute to functional areas of the business outside of the finance area.
- Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
