Food Track Specialist
New Orleans Convention Center
The Food Track Specialist supports the warehouse and purchasing department and is responsible for coordinating and executing operations and procedures in order to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency so that all product, supply and
needs are met throughout the venue.
Responsibilities:
• Run reports of requisitions check often during day for additional addons.
• Place orders to vendors by creating P.O.'s and send to vendors.
• Run end of day reports for staff to know what is coming in each day, Purchasing recap.
• Check each morning that all requisitions entered day before were ordered and that nothing was added or changed by departments overnight.
• Enter invoices into Foodtrak to update pricing for inventory.
• Add new items into Foodtrak with ALL areas filled out for each area completely.
• Create recipes for chefs as needed. This includes individual items and bulk items.
• Complete requestions by creating a transfer for each requisition. This will help
with closing for end of month.
• Keep items up to date daily with vendor item numbers and pack sizes for
inventory.
• Add in new users and take out old as needed.
• Add new vendors as needed.
REQUIRED:
• High school diploma, some college and/or appropriate combination of education
and work experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
• Effective organizational and communication skills.
• Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
repetitively.
• Ability to work flexible working schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient computer knowledge.
• Basic Microsoft Excel.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to research online and elsewhere for products and conversions.
• Food product knowledge a must.
• Problem solving skills a must.
• Will need to take online or in person classes with Foodtrak.
Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
