Sodoro Law Group is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense attorney to join our quickly expanding multi-jurisdictional firm. We are looking for an individual who has 3 years of Workers' Compensation Defense experience and must have the ability to practice in one of our six jurisdictions (Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, Arizona). The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases, resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients, and primarily focus their practice in Workers' Compensation Defense.

- Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
- Prepare pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies.
- Provide effective and timely communications, reports, information, legal advice, and other services to clients and claims on legal and factual issues.
- Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures.
- Responsible for prompt, efficient, and effective deposition of assigned cases.
- Attend and assist in preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trial, judicial and administrative hearings and alternative dispute resolutions.
- Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple deadlines, be highly organized, have strong written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn and collaborate and have an excellent work ethic.
- Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam
- Previous experience with Insurance Defense law (3 years preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Apple Computer
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
