Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently while maintaining a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the Aloha POS system.
- Provide accurate information about menu items and specials to guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to help guests feel welcome and valued.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
