What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permanent Building Substitute (Temporary) position at Sodus Central School District?
There are currently two (2) positions that exist in our Jr./Sr. High School. This position will support teacher absences as needed. The incumbent will work on all regular school days.
Note: There is a longevity incentive for substitiute teaching.
50-74 full days = $300
75 - 99 full days = $400
100 full days = $500
Job Qualifications
- NYS Certification is required.
- Certifications for specific grade levels between 7-12 are preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable working with students.
- Ability to work independently, facilitate group dynamics, exercise good judgment and show initiative.
- Ability to make a commitment to academic excellence.
- Have an ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
