CNC Lead/ Machine Shop Manager

Soelect Inc. is a fast-growing, multi-patented clean technology startup located in Greensboro, NC. Soelect has developed an advanced lithium metal composite anode that, when combined with a solid-state or liquid electrolyte, significantly increases energy density, power and safety while also lowering manufacturing costs through our patented material design and proprietary processes.

Position Brief

· Machine shop manager /Engineering Department

· FT Position /Contract: up to 40hrs per week / On-site M-F / Greensboro, NC.

· Safe, Clean, and Dust Free Work Environment

· Compensation: based on experiences (with 7 years of industry experience)

Qualifications

· Minimum 7 years of experience managing a CNC machine, lathe, welding, with hands-on experience

Proven track record of training and leading CNC operators in machining low-tolerance aerospace or automotive parts

Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints, engineering requirements, and mechanical drawings

In-depth knowledge of the design and development of industrial machinery and components

Able to use engineering tools, methods and machine knowledge to create, modify, re-design machine assembly drawings and part details.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, program, and prove-out prototype electro-mechanical equipment and components to validate future projects and processes.
• Interface with the Technical Staff daily to discuss current and future projects for updates.
• Be able to use engineering methods and machine knowledge to create, modify, and redesign machine assembly drawings and part details.
• Read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Design, read, and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Possess skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
