What are the responsibilities and job description for the NURSE PRACTITIONER position at SOFHA EMPLOYMENT SERVICES INC?

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform patient assessments; obtain patient medical and social histories, diagnostic testing, and take vital signs.
- Evaluate signs and symptoms.
- Interpret/evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Monitor/review patient care and treatment plans.
- Provide education and counseling of patients and families in preventative care, medical conditions, and the use of prescribed treatments/drugs.
- Refer patients to physicians or other healthcare professionals/facilities as needed and monitor the outcome of the referral.
- Provide on-call coverage for evenings and weekends as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Follow all organizational and governmental healthcare policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Nurse Practitioner bachelors degree in nursing and successful completion of a nurse practitioner program at the master's level.
EXPERIENCE:
Three or more years of professional experience as a nurse practitioner, ideally in a specific area.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Registered Nurse Licensure
- ANCC Certified as a nurse practitioner in a specialty area.
