The Director of Event Security ensures that the highest level of service is provided by overseeing event security operations for any events scheduled at SoFi Stadium, HWP Campus, and all Private Events within Hollywood Park. This position will be involved with the development and execution of standard operating policies and procedures and execution of safety and security protocols for an event at an extraordinary level. This role encompasses team development, accountability, and operational excellence, requiring a proactive and customer-focused approach.

INSIDE/OUTSIDE………………………………..Frequently works both indoors in climate-controlled environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to direct sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, sleet, and wind. The employee must be able to perform essential functions in both indoor and outdoor settings.
COLD/HEAT:.............................................Exposure to varying temperatures, including both climate-controlled indoor environments and outdoor temperatures ranging from typical Southern CA weather. Range, e.g., 40°F to 100°F. Must be able to perform essential functions in these temperature variations.
WET/DRY:....................................................Potential exposure to wet conditions, including rain and damp surfaces, while performing outdoor duties. May be exposed to dry conditions while performing indoor duties.
NOISE/VIBRATIONS:................................Exposure to intermittent high noise levels from large crowds, amplified music during sporting events, concerts and festivals, pyrotechnic displays, and high-impact events such as monster truck shows; potential for associated vibrations.
HAZARDS:...................................................Potential exposure to common workplace hazards, including slippery surfaces, crowds, and emergency situations. Must be able to follow safety protocols.
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000

- Inspire and Lead: Oversee and manage inhouse event day security team, and contracted security. Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Talent Acquisition and Development: Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes. Develop and implement comprehensive training, coaching, and mentorship programs that not only ensure adherence to safety and security practices but also empower team members to grow professionally and advance within the organization.
- Performance Management and Recognition: Establish clear, measurable performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving results. Implement a robust performance management system that includes regular feedback, performance reviews, and a system for recognizing and rewarding outstanding contributions.
- Ethical Leadership and Role Modeling: Serve as an exemplary role model, embodying ethical behavior, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to Hollywood Park Management Company policies and procedures. Lead by example and inspire others to uphold the highest standards of conduct.

- Scheduling and Workforce Management: Oversee and manage the scheduling process for all 24/7 Security personnel, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient resource allocation.
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving results.
- Manage and participate in the development and administration of the Event Security Department annual budget; forecast staffing, training, equipment, materials, and supply budget requirements; monitor expenditures; implement adjustments as needed.
- Oversee/manages the scheduling process of all Event Security personnel, which can also include contractors.
- Establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with customers, including local, state, and federal authorities.
- Establish and maintain the venue’s reputation for excellent entertainment experience by balancing enforcement of rules and regulations with guest safety and enjoyment.
- Collaborate and work with Event Services to plan events that are aligned with the client, as well as the Security Department’s and Company's organizational goals and service culture.
- Work with Guest Services management to communicate with past, current, and future guests to answer inquiries, respond to concerns/complaints, and prevent future issues.
- Work with Guest Services staff in managing large crowds under constantly changing event environments.
- Assist in the communications to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies if relevant for the event.
- Consistently review established policies and procedures, making recommendations for change and improvement.
- Research and analyze event information (security riders, site visits) to provide staffing recommendations and estimates prior to events.
- Make immediate decisions and communicate with security staff in emergency situations.

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of motivated and accomplished security experience; preferred experience working in a similar event-based environment.
- Ability to lead, give clear, concise direction, and provide constructive feedback; can demonstrate confidence and leadership abilities.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with internal and external clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community.
- Extensive experience managing teams; demonstrated ability in coaching, counseling, directing, and developing teams or large groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficient in MS Office or Google Office applications, including security software.
- Ability to maintain composure while handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Possession of an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Card is a plus.
- Authorized Service Provider of First Aid training preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships among several groups and deliver the highest level of satisfaction.
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
