The Role:

We are actively seeking a skilled Data Engineer to assume the role of Solution Architect, leading our efforts to accelerate speed to market through innovation and iteration on our Decision Platform. As a data engineer in this position, you will collaborate with all team members to identify bottlenecks, devise efficient solutions, facilitate decision-making sessions with the leadership team, and actively contribute to the implementation of optimal solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Architecture and Scalability:
• Conduct a thorough review of development and testing architecture with a specific focus on data scalability and maintenance overhead.
• Identify the most efficient ways to implement new data-centric solutions, ensuring they are set on a path for success and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure data systems have reliability and uptime appropriate to business needs, emphasizing data engineering principles.
• Collaboration and Leadership:
• Collaborate with Strategy Leads and Engineering during the design phase, ensuring operational feasibility within the current data infrastructure.
• Provide direction to leads regarding data implementation tactics, emphasizing data engineering best practices.
• Support and provide feedback on best practices, particularly within the realm of data engineering.
• Innovation and Performance Metrics:
• Lead the development of proof of concepts (POC) and ideation across business units for new data-centric functionalities.
• Identify and set up data system performance metrics for efficient monitoring and improvement, emphasizing data-related metrics.
• Strategic Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Platform Enhancement plan designed to complement the overall system implementation plan, explicitly focusing on boosting team velocity and enhancing overall quality, with a specific emphasis on data engineering efficiency.
• Regularly assess and identify any bottlenecks or inefficiencies within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), recommending automated solutions to streamline data-centric processes.
  
  
  

What You'll Need:

• 5 years of experience in software development and/or technical operations, with a significant portion in a leadership role focusing on data engineering.
• 3 years experience in cloud architecture
• Experience with best of breed infrastructure solutions, including experience with Amazon AWS cloud services
• Experience with SQL, Python, S3 Buckets, software architecture and design
• Java/Kotlin experience nice to have
• Experience with cloud/AWS
• Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance
• Leadership experience with end-to-end information security practices, compliance requirements, data privacy, sovereignty and confidentiality practices, security testing and auditing, and rapid response procedures.
• Knowledge of technical, operational and cultural structures required to scale teams in a high-growth environment
• Experience in the Fintech or Financial Services vertical highly desired
• Previous experience with Provenir or other Decision Engine required
• Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
  
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
