Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Preventative and Predictive maintenance of equipment through observation and established testing metrics
- Identify correct replacement parts.
- Perform repairs to equipment
- Safely operate powered hand tools, hoists and other lifting devices.
- Assess condition of existing parts utilizing precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read prints, drawings and shop manuals for correct specifications of equipment to be maintained.
- Oils and greases equipment
- Lubricates, cleans parts and equipment
- Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 1 year of industrial experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience installing, repairing and troubleshooting pumps, conveyors, hydraulic assemblies, fans, gearboxes and other types of rotating equipment.
- General knowledge of hydraulics, minor welding and minor pipe repair are benefits as well.
- Available to work 12 hours rotating shifts
- Decision making and troubleshooting abilities, good communication and computer skills
- Must be highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work safely in a industrial environment.
- Experience tools use (i.e Micrometers, laser alignment, etc), and repair or manufacture of repair parts within specifications/tolerances.
