Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant Brickell/Downtown Miami, FL

Family in Brickell / Downtown Miami is seeking a full-time nanny / family assistant for a long-term commitment. Primary responsibility is to care for one child, a 20 month old boy with some light housekeeping duties. There is a weekly house-cleaner, however, in addition to caring for the child, the candidate must be willing to perform light cleaning to include; making beds, emptying the dishwasher, taking out the trash and laundry for the family. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 12 pm to 7pm, and Saturdays for 8 to 10 hours, flexible for a midday start. The child is picked up from school at 2pm therefore leaving enough time ahead to take care of light tidying up. The ideal candidate is active and engaging, must have prior experience caring for a toddler, and lives within reasonable distance of downtown Miami. Both parents are working professionals and are seeking someone that they can count on to pick up the child from school, provide after-school care, take him to the playground within the building, ensure that he is fed and bedtime routine.

Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain a consistent daily routine to include; after school pick-up to preparation for bed
• Provide attentive care to a toddler ensuring his well-being and safety
• Accompany to activities (there is a play-area within the building)
• Light meal preparation for the child and ensure he is fed
• Education and development : Engage the child in age-appropriate educational activities, including reading, arts, and other stimulating exercises to encourage intellectual growth
• Light housework to include; Make beds, Laundry for the family, empty out the sink, clean the dishwasher, wipe counter tops, take out the trash.
• Communication : maintain open and effective communication with parents

Qualifications :

Compensation : Starting at $1300 per week other benefits to be determined
