Family in Palm Beach is looking to hire an experienced Nanny to provide care for, nurture and foster the development of their newborn baby. They currently have a newborn care specialist who is on assignment until April. This is the couple’s first child and they are seeking an experienced nanny with current newborn and early childhood experience. This is an opportunity for a long-term commitment with a growing family.
The ideal candidate is an educated career focused nanny, with previous experience caring for infants, is very knowledgeable in the various developmental stages. A candidate with previous early childhood education and training with a genuine interest and love for children is the best fit for this role.
The family is seeking someone who is calm & relaxed but also has lots of energy to engage their baby, organized, proactive in planning activities and playtime, clear & direct with communication, has a solid work history & is looking for a long-term commitment. Mom will be hands-on, and the candidate must be comfortable working with a mom who is present. Someone who is flexible and able to provide extended support and family assisting mom will be great for this role.
Schedule: This is an exclusive full-time commitment requiring an average of 5 to 6 days per week, a minimum of 50 hours. The work hours are from 7am to 7pm. The position that requires travel to the South of France in the summer for 2 to 3 months and occasional short trips within the US A/Canada.
Job Duties include but not limited to;
- Full responsibility for overall childcare and all activities relating to the well-being of the child
- Teach and educate the child according to their level, instilling good habits
- Plan and engage the child in various activities for overall growth and development, reading, writing, arts & craft, singing, playtime, other age-appropriate activities.
- Proper grooming and hygiene, giving baths, dressing, changing diapers etc.
- Organize and follow a daily schedule, schedule naps & establish routines.
- Prepare healthy, nutritional meals and ensure the child is well fed.
- Light cleaning relating to the child; Cleaning bottles, sanitizing toys, organizing the babies’ wardrobe and personal items.
- Travel with family
- All other childcare related duties.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years Nanny experience, caring for infants and toddlers
- Good communicator – keeping an open dialogue with the parents on baby’s development.
- Fluent in English, French speaker a plus.
- College Degree or Early childhood education preferred.
- Must be able to swim
- Travel ready both domestic and international.
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Valid driver’s license/ clean driving record
- Contribute to positive social, emotional, education growth, development of the child
- Must be hands-on and able to make good decisions and provide recommendations to parents.
