SOFT's client in NJ is looking for a Project Staff Engineers for a long term contract.
OVERVIEW: Individuals experienced in the support of individual projects and a portfolio of projects as directed in writing by the Company from time-to-time. The candidate will provide work skills and expertise in the following areas related to the Company's transmission and distribution: project scope coordination and analysis, preparation and coordination of work packages for review, project schedule development, critical path analysis, contractor coordination and management, project management assistance, project change management, risk and contingency planning, and root cause analysis. Company shall interact with groups identified project managers to ensure that all Work is completed to Company's satisfaction. Group's program managers shall provide direction, oversight and supervision to groups' personnel on a day-to-day basis. Candidate is responsible for all deliverables required by the Scope of Work.
RESPONSIBILITIES Candidate shall provide engineering support for Projects and Construction (P&C) projects. The Candidate shall prepare assignments and contribute to the project with competency in broad disciplines. The Candidate shall address technical issues ranging from simple to complex. The Candidate shall supervise and primarily interact project coordination engineering design and review of work and may consult for technical guidance on unusual or complex problems. The Contractor shall provide technical, budget and scheduling responsibility for tasks and small projects. The Candidate shall review technical reports, deliverables, scope development and implementation independently or under the direction of more senior staff.

Ability to act independently with a low level of supervision on project related work
Experience performing program and technical tasks in support of operations.
Bachelor s degree in engineering.
