Onsite Requirements : Thermal Analysis SolidWorks PCB Job Description : Group 74 requires a thermal engineer to support the design, analysis, and testing of prototype systems. These systems span a range of potential environments from ground, underwater, airborne, and space. Systems feature high power dissipating components such as laser terminals, RF components, and computing platforms. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary engineering team contributing to the development of operational prototype hardware, spanning the full program life cycle from concept development to on-orbit test. The position may require special security clearances and travel to meetings and field Must Have : Strong background in thermal engineering and thermal architecture design Demonstrated experience using thermal / fluids analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Thermal Desktop, ICEPAK, etc.) The candidate must have experience with printed circuit board (PCB) thermal and mechanical analyses to support design and reliability assessments 5 years of experience Nice to Haves : Experience with thermal testing, to include atmospheric thermal chamber and thermal vacuum (TVAC) test design and execution Experience with Solidworks CAD software Skill Matrix : Qualification | Assessment Must Have : Degree Level : Bachelor's Degree - Yes Engineering : Thermal Analysis - 5 years Thermal Engineering - 5 years Experience : Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance) - Yes Nice to Have : Engineering : Thermal vacuum test design and execution - 5 years Software : Solidworks - 5 years Due to the nature of the work, a United States Government Clearance is required to be eligible for the position.
