We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in Fort Lee, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in personal injury law and be proficient in all aspects of case management, from intake to settlement or trial. You will work closely with attorneys and clients, helping to manage cases efficiently and effectively. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of personal injury litigation are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents
- Manage case files, including preparing and organizing evidence, exhibits, and medical records
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, depositions, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to gather necessary information
- Conduct legal research on personal injury laws and precedents
- Assist in negotiating settlements, reviewing settlement agreements, and preparing settlement documents
- Prepare and file legal documents with the court and ensure compliance with all deadlines
- Maintain accurate case logs and case management systems
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience working as a personal injury paralegal
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, including medical terminology, legal documents, and procedures
- Proficient with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
Preferred:
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program
- Experience with trial preparation and court filings
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
