Position Overview:
As a bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company finances. You will be responsible for performing key accounting tasks, including purchase order and bill reconciliation, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contract review. This position also provides administrative support to management, offering a comprehensive introduction to the accounting field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order and Bill Reconciliation:
- Review, verify, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Invoicing:
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices, maintain payment schedules, and assist with payment processing.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments and addressing any discrepancies.
- Contract Review:
- Assist in reviewing contracts for compliance with financial policies and regulations, ensuring all terms are accurately reflected in financial records.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide support to management in various administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and report preparation.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or relevant education/experience).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
