What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist position at Softpath System?
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Softpath System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
- Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
- Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls, including experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
