Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities and possess a strong background in medical-surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an acute care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Utilize Cerner or similar electronic health record systems for documentation
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases
Requirements
- Valid LPN license
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in an acute care or Level I Trauma Center setting preferred
- Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing practices
- Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
