Building Automation Controls Designer (HVAC/Smart Buildings)
Job Summary:We are looking for a Building Automation Controls Designer with expertise in HVAC and smart buildings, who understands IT networking and its role in Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role will provide guidance on designing IP networks for BAS and HVAC systems, ensuring seamless integration with IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Design IP networks within HVAC and building automation systems.
- Provide expertise on BAS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).
- Configure and integrate networking hardware (switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls).
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, IT teams, and contractors.
- Develop technical documentation, schematics, and network diagrams.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 6-7 years in BAS design and IT networking.
- Strong understanding of HVAC control systems and BAS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON).
- Experience with IP networking, VLANs, and cybersecurity in BAS.
- Hands-on experience with switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize BAS connectivity and security.
