The SEI CERT Platform Insight team seeks highly motivated students for the Summer 2025 internship session. Our team is focused upon empirical examination of contemporary computing devices in support of US government interests. We seek detailed technical understanding at and among all constituent layers of the computing stack, from algorithmic reasoning through hardware implementation, through software implementation, network and radio-frequency communications, and operating system internals.

- Computer Science
- Quantitative sciences, to include life-sciences
- Mathematics
- Concrete guidance and consequent individual experience with conception, scoping, and tradecraft of graduate-level research
- Strong experience with programming of research ideas
- Substantial experience with technical presentation
- Collaborative relationships with world-class cybersecurity experts
- Current enrollment in a degree granting program
- Able to work an internship schedule during the summer 2025 semester.
- Able to come on-site to the SEI Pittsburgh office.
- Candidates will be subject to a background check.
- Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship.
- Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
