JOB TITLE: Sr. DevOps Engineer (Deployment)
Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, focus on designing, building, and maintaining automated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Collaborating closely with development teams to optimize software delivery and leading the implementation of infrastructure as code practices across a cloud environment, often requiring expertise in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Resource Manager, and Terraform. The engineer is also responsible for the overall health and performance of the pipelines to ensure reliable application deployments. This is a hybrid role, and the ideal candidate needs to be onsite at least 3 days out of the week in Lakewood, CO.
Essential Duties
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

JOB TITLE: Sr. DevOps Engineer (Deployment)
Job Summary

Essential Duties
- Develop and implement enterprise level software build and deployment standardization to include Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment
- Lead engagements to improve DevOps environment management and footprint across all functional areas.
- Present a diversified knowledge of DevOps strategies and best practices as they relate to multiple engineering disciplines and technologies
- Serve as the subject matter expert for software development lifecycle tools as they relate to the DevOps ecosystem – source control, container management and orchestration, application performance monitoring, server monitoring, configuration management, CI/CD, and artifact management
- Demonstrate expert level application of source code management tools, encompassing the implementation and management of branching methodologies and policies in multi and mono repository environments
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure system designs are secure, scalable, and reliable
- Enable automated unit, performance, and security testing in the automation pipelines. Ensure appropriate security controls are achieved and maintained as mandated through regulatory guidelines
- Design, develop and maintain necessary infrastructure ecosystem required to provision and consistently configure multiple dev/test/prod environments, ensuring robustness
- Review deployment and operational environments, i.e., execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack
- Partner heavily with internal teams such as Software Development, Quality Assurance, Product Definition, Cybersecurity, and IT Infrastructure
- Holds self and team accountable for adherence to Agile and DevOps principles and practices
- Maintains general knowledge of industry and company regulatory and software quality standards and applies this knowledge to the completion of all projects
- Develops and maintains pertinent documentation and procedures for the technology area according to industry, vendor, and company standards
Education

Experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience
- Must have experience supporting software development teams in a distributed environment or a combination of hands-on software development experience and software development team support
- Thorough knowledge in the design and implementation of continuous integration and continuous delivery automation frameworks
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as PowerShell, YAML, JSON, Go, Ruby, Shell scripting, Perl
- Extensive experience in common DevOps toolsets (Git, Artifactory, NuGet, NPM, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Understanding of SaaS: creating prototypes, improving applications, automation to cloud, and maintaining reliability.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments to include migrations and application deployment.
- Strong hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: Source control (automation, branching strategies/branching policies), Infrastructure as Code, Package management, System Administration/Networking, Cloud architecture/Hybrid Cloud solutions, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery orchestration, Application Security, Cybersecurity
- Prior experience in using cloud APIs to automate provisioning, deployment, and improve system performance
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based infrastructure (Redhat, Ubuntu, Fedora)
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. Demonstrated team-oriented behavior and ability to work well in collaborative relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, adhere to project deadlines and procedures, multi-task and be detail oriented
