Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Cisco Catalyst Network Consultant for a RIGHT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Sports/ entertainment clients in Queens, NY .
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Consultant with 2-4 years of proven experience to join our team on a full-time consulting basis, with the potential for right-to-hire based on performance and headcount approval. The consultant will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices, with a strong emphasis on the Cisco Catalyst platform.
- Perform network monitoring and analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing network security measures to protect company assets and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the network supports all operational and business needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance for network-related issues during standard hours and on an on-call basis.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, to address critical issues or maintenance.
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies, including Cisco Catalyst switches.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and managing various Cisco Catalyst series products.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and architectures.
- Experience configuring and managing network security tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, access control).
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical end users.
Work Environment:
- Overtime hours, including weekends, may be required to meet business needs or during critical events
Salary : $30 - $45
