Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Project Controls Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier Utility services clients in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities :
Performs routine cost control or scheduling work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks; receives guidance on new aspects of non-routine assignments; using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced analyst; may schedule/coordinate projects with supervision and review; prepare analyses, write specifications and reports as directed. Creates detailed project budgets from estimates and execution plans, and develops cash flow projections from review of project documentation.

- Assist in the development of project estimates and insures accuracy of the estimate and scope of the project.
- Performs analysis on project control requirements as part of bid review process to insure cost control requirements are incorporated into individual contracts and purchase orders.
- Forecasts engineering and construction resource requirements.
- Ensures that proper resource loading and Critical Path Method Scheduling methods are used and makes recommendations for schedule improvement and corrective actions.
- May assist in training lower level project analysts.
- Develops and updates project schedules and performs risk analysis throughout the duration of the project.
- May have leadership responsibility for administrative staff including work direction, work review and mentoring.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-3 years as Project Controls Analyst I, or a minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities and the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities section, with at least 2 years of experience in engineering and construction project controls environment.
- College education may be considered in lieu of comparable direct/related experience.
- Demonstrated independence and expertise in performing the Project Controls Analyst I or similar level role.
- Proficiency in budget, cash flow and/or schedule development.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering and construction project processes, deliverables, and execution methods and the ability to take a leadership role in determining the appropriate methods and extent of controls required for each project. Firm accounting and project control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field from an accredited college/university.
