Job Details
Software Guidance & Assistance (SGA) is searching for a Data Insights Analyst (Excel/Tableau) for a REMOTE contract/consulting position. This individual will be working closely with senior managers to perform data extraction, data quality/cleanup, and data analysis functions utilizing sensitive proprietary data - as a result very strong verbal and written communication skills are required. The right candidate will have very strong MS Excel skills (must be capable of performing vLookups and helping to bring order to large data sets) and be able to produce easily understood reports and dashboards using Tableau for review by senior managers to aid in their decisioning processes. This role will be supporting EST work hours.
Core responsibilities
Owns analytics work for the team, including data management, dashboard creation/ maintenance and ad-hoc reporting to drive efficiency and create impact. Collaborates with Department leaders and other relevant Firm leaders to create success metrics for portfolio related initiatives and categories; develops and executes tools and techniques to manage the portfolio and transactions optimally
The day to day
Data Strategy and Infrastructure
Lead the analytical agenda across the team, balancing demand and prioritization.
Design, build, and maintain data-driven tools and reporting that are accessible and reusable within Operations and align with team priorities and department goals such as efficiency and automation.
Ensure that Operations teams' strategic decisions and roadmaps are well-informed by data insights.
Training and Best Practices
Develop and lead training initiatives related to Operations tools and reporting to ensure smooth implementation and use.
Apply best practices in various analytical methods and continuously self-educate on leading practices in operational areas, e.g. customer insights.
Measure process improvements, costs, and productivity for the Operations group to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership
Ensure a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of Operations leads and users to build accurate requirements and objectives.
Provide creativity, thought partnership and proactively share data-driven insights to relevant Firm leaders, leveraging Operations data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Role model problem-solving and stakeholder management for junior colleagues
Experience & Background
Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative field
4 years of professional experience in applied analytics or research
Understanding of the digital product lifecycle
