Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a DEC Ops Trade Support AVP for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Jersey City, NJ.
DEC US Operations team is part of the US Derivatives Execution and Clearing Operations department who collectively provides customer service, risk and funds management, trade processing and reconciliation, client on-boarding, accounting, post trade execution investigation, performance margining, exchange balancing, contract expiration processing including physical delivery, fee maintenance, and regulatory review and rule implementation. These clearing and operational functions require the team to manage communication across clients and multiple lines of business accessing several exchange applications, banking tools, and internal operating systems to support the flow and record of commodity futures, options, and OTC trade execution on a daily basis. Responsibilities:
- Direct communication and interaction with clients and business partners
- Subject Matter Expert in deliveries functions and processing at exchange level
- Manage position reporting function independently
- Manage options expiration processing independently
- Physical delivery of commodity futures products
- Extensive knowledge of CCP contract rules and regulations
- Regulatory reporting
- Client on boarding and pre trade support
- Post trade execution clearing and allocation processing
- Trade reconciliations utilizing middleware and industry software
- Client and business inquiry research, investigation, and issue resolution
- Work with global risk teams on limit queries and trade support
- Account set-up review and implementation utilizing various operational systems
- New product and market on-boarding including identification of requirements
- Regulatory exam and audit coordination
- Control monitoring
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 plus years of experience with exchange listed products, OTC Cleared derivatives, or capital markets trading, operations, execution, or trade process
- Experience interacting with clients and various lines of business
- Working knowledge of FCM Clearing setups - CCP mappings, exchange reporting suite
- Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, formals, etc.), Outlook and Power Point
- Experience in specifics around on-boarding new clients
- Experience in Futures Commission Merchant clearing and operations
- CFTC regulations knowledge
- Knowledge of CCP regulations and contract rules
- Physical delivery and scheduling of commodity future
- 3 years of experience in clearing listed derivative products on multiple CCPs
- 3 years of experience in FCM Clearing operations
- Experience interacting with clients and various lines of business seeking solutions for enhancing client experience
- Experience working with global lines of business to build and maintain partnerships
