Infrastructure Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Infrastructure Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Alpharetta, GA .

Responsibilities :

• Looking for an infrastructure engineer who will be part of the team responsible for supporting the services and products that power the firm lines of businesses.
• Work within the group maintaining and developing Infrastructure
• Develop and extend tools to maintain and monitor deployments.
• Assess, document, present, and execute project assignments.
• Evaluate and recommend commercial and open-source software.
• Automate complex processes.
• Escalation point of contact to answer system related questions.
• Train and Mentor team members, system administrators and operators.
• Provide production support.

Required Skills :

• 4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux, strong understanding of Linux OS.BASH or other shell scripting knowledge
• 5 years of experience working with VERITAS NetBackup including Flex Appliances and Cloud Storage
• 2 years of Veritas IT Analytics experience including installation and administration
• 3 years of Quantum Tape Systems
• 3 years of understanding and working knowledge of fundamental Internet Protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, FTP)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills :

• Web/Internet Security experience is a plus.
• Configuration management experience (e.g., puppet, Git, Subversion.) CI/CD
• 3 years of hands-on Programming experience in Python
• 2 years of Veritas Infoscale Clustering experience/knowledge
