Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Instructional Designer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD .
This role is Remote (4 onsite visits/year to Rockville office required)
The Instructional Designer (Principal Regulatory Training Specialist) position is a contractor individual contributor in the Business Learning and Training Department that will design and deliver multimedia business-specific learning solutions. They will be responsible for helping the Critical Skills and Capabilities group analyze training needs and develop training strategic and operational training plans that accelerate time to value for learners and executes best learning solution to meet those needs. Content will focus on emerging topics in the financial markets so experience in creating financial learning solutions is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the execution of large, multifaceted training initiatives and visual campaigns with high organizational visibility, requiring ability to develop business knowledge.
Helps administer end-to-end training programs and projects within a specified timeframe and budget.
Leads the design, development, and implementation of learning solutions and assets, in accordance with best practices of instructional design and adult-learning principles, as identified through emerging topics curricula, programs and priorities.
Provides input on the strategic direction for curriculum design, ensuring learning objectives, visualizations, and delivery methods are appropriate for the topics and audience.
Ensures a high level of quality with best practices in evaluation and implementing continuous improvements.
Leads the production of synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions, including animated instructional videos, on-demand e-learning, in-person and virtual instructor-led training, job aids, and interactive playbooks.
Creates graphics and animations that capture complex ideas and processes, reflect the values of the organization, bring a fresh industry focus, and demonstrate creativity.
Education/Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant subject area, which might include Learning Technology, Adult Learning, Graphic Design, Education, Communications, or similar related field(s).
Experience creating learning solutions for the financial sector is preferred.
Master's degree in Instructional Design strongly preferred.
Excellent instructional design skills in creating learning solutions.
Experience in Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Creative suite, and Camtasia.
Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Self-motivated; highly driven to produce results.
Adept at project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Excitement for, and the ability to thrive in, a fast-paced environment.
Creative and driven towards innovation.
Working Conditions:
