Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Mainframe Technician for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY .

Responsibilities :
- Work in the Command Center of a large, 24X7 multinational bank holding company where mainframe availability is mission critical.
- Need ability remotely using virtual connectivity techniques such as phone, chat, Teams and Zoom. Training will be supplied and extensive.
- Requires the judicious exercise of privileged Mainframe access and rigorous adherence to security and operational policies.
- Entry level technology experience.
- Mainframe experience preferred, but not required. Will consider entry level candidates in Computer Science, or Windows environment, etc.
- Familiarity with Service-Now ticketing software or similiar.
- Experience with Teams and Zoom
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong English written and verbal skills (able to communicate to customers and stakeholders).
- Previous Financial Firm experience
- Ability to digest security, cybersecurity, and policy training documents.
- Familiarity with Windows interface and toolsets.
- MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook skills.
- Ability to create and improve technical procedural documentation.
